Frequently asked questions
Short, honest answers to the questions we hear most often. Anything else? Just ask us.
Still have a question?
Our team is happy to help — by phone, e-mail or through the contact form.
Which models do you offer?
We build 5 models from 40 to 120 m² — from a compact one-bedroom house for two up to a two-storey family home. Each model is available with different layouts, façades and extras, so you can adapt it to living, holidays or rental.
What is included in the price?
The starting price covers the house on its floating platform in the standard specification of the chosen model. VAT, transport, installation on site, mooring and optional extras are calculated separately and itemised in your quote, so you know exactly what you are paying for.
Can I pay for my floating house in instalments?
Yes. You pay 40 % of the price when you sign the contract; the rest is paid in 24 to 120 monthly instalments — you choose the term. The exact terms are set out in your individual offer.
What warranty do you give?
We give a 20-year warranty on our floating houses. The exact warranty terms are set out in your contract.
Can I live in a floating house all year round?
Yes. Our houses are designed as insulated, heated homes that can be used in every season. We adapt insulation, heating and protection against ice to the climate of your location. Whether you can register the house as your permanent residence depends on local regulations — we are glad to help you find out.
Do I need a permit or a mooring place?
In most cases, yes. You need a legal place on the water — for example a marina berth or a waterfront plot with the right to moor — and, depending on the country, a permit or registration for the floating structure. The rules differ between countries and even between lakes, so we recommend clarifying them early. We provide the technical documentation needed for the application.
Are your houses certified?
Yes. Our floating houses have a CE certificate. It is handed over with your house together with the technical documentation and operating manual — and if you have questions about it, for example for a permit application, our team is happy to help.
How long do delivery and installation take?
Build time depends on the model and specification and is usually between 14 and 28 weeks after the order is confirmed. The house is then transported to the water and installed on site; the exact schedule for transport and installation is agreed with you in advance.
Where can a floating house be placed?
On lakes, calm rivers, canals, marinas and sheltered bays across Europe — anywhere with sufficient water depth, protection from strong waves and currents, and access for delivery. We assess every location together with you before you order.
How much maintenance does a floating house need?
About as much as a well-built house by the water: regular care of the façade and terraces, a yearly check of the mooring and utility connections, and periodic inspection of the floating platform. We explain everything at handover and remain available for service questions.
Can I pay in instalments or finance the house, and can I rent it out?
Yes — you can pay directly with us in instalments: 40 % when you sign the contract and the rest in 24 to 120 monthly instalments (exact terms in your offer). If you prefer a bank loan or leasing, we prepare the detailed offer and technical documentation banks usually ask for. Renting out is possible where local rules allow, whether as a holiday home or as part of a hospitality business, and we are happy to discuss rental and hospitality projects, including projects with several units.
